We aim to offer all children experiences of residentials during their time with us. We believe having opportunities to stay away from home and take part in exciting team-building activities builds self-esteem, confidence and develops social skills. Staff plan these trips carefully taking into account the opportunities offered, quality accommodation and different environments and experiences. The following outlines our plans for this academic year.
Year 6 will spend 4 nights The Outward Bound Trust in Aberdovey. This will take place in Term 2. For more information on the venue please click here. Information from the parent session is available in the video below. In Year 5 children will visit Magdalen Farm in Somerset for 2 nights. This will take place in Term 4. For more information please click here.
In Year 4 children have one night away. This is usually in a museum. Every other year we offer all children in Year 2 and 3 the opportunity to camp on the school field overnight. This will take place in the academic year 2021-22. We are incredibly lucky to have such committed staff who are willing to volunteer to attend the residentials every year to ensure the children are well cared for and enjoy their experiences. If you have any questions regarding the residentials please speak to your child's class teacher or contact the school office. |
