On 26th September we went to the school allotment. The reason we went is because Mrs Holloway found a piece of pottery and showed it to the class. It got us all very excited so we decided to go and investigate to see if there was any more. When we were there we split the digging patch into six. Each group had a patch. There were lots of different jobs for the team. They were:
Mini diggers Recorders Persuader Time keeper Main detective Safety person We found lots of old pottery and some bones. The first find in two seconds was a sheep skull. By the end of the hour digging we had found many discoveries. The most exciting things were: a coin from 2003, two necklaces and an animal leg bone. We were so surprised and really enjoyed it! |
