“On Wednesday, Year 4 went to the Story Museum in Oxford for a sleepover. The Story Museum is an exciting place where you are allowed to read books and explore rooms full of things from many different stories. Many thanks to the grown-ups who didn’t get any sleep!” Leah
“There were lots of different shapes and sizes of drums as well as bells and a strange small plastic drum. We liked it because he’d play a melody and we’d clap it. He was very good at drumming but also a very good teacher. We swapped round drums so we got to try everything. He had a whistle which he called ‘Whistle’ which was like an instrument.” Ruby and Anna
"Year 3 and 4 did a Vale mini red tennis tournament and we went to Matthew Arnold. In first place was Cumnor, second West Oxford and we came third with 8 points." Emilia
"We did really well!" Betty Year 4 have had great fun this week making their own French cafes. In teams, they had to produce a menu, design a cafe sign, prepare the food and speak French before they were allowed anything to eat or drink. It was a great success!
On Tuesday 2nd May, Year 3 went on an exciting trip to the Oxfordshire Museum.
“We dressed up as Romans in different costumes for rich and poor people. The rich boys who wore a purple sash were very important and part of the government. We also played games and made up stories about the Roman people. We did an archaeological dig and we had to guess if objects were Roman or modern-times.” Eve and Bella |
