Year 3 had a fantastic trip to Far Peak Climbing Centre today. They all had a great time and brilliantly demonstrated term 3's School Value (courage) and OTTER value (try).
"It was a great team effort and we won 1 match, drew and lost 2." Thea, Alice & Samuel.
"It was funny when I slipped over and was covered in mud!" Mia "It was fun -I scored 2 tries!" Rocky "I was proud to score 1 try for North Hinksey." Alfie The library area in school has undergone an amazing facelift! It is now a magical fairy tale reading area. We would like to say a huge thank you to Mr Wetherall who built and supplied the fabulous tree book-shelves and superb castle, complete with staircase, turret and puppet theatre. This area will provide a fun and inspiring space for the children to be encouraged and motivated to read. The finishing touches are still being added but the children will be using the area from next week. The 'official' opening ceremony will be at the Storytelling Festival on 3rd March.
Our Year 5 team came second in the Oxfordshire Schools Junior Strictly competition on Saturday. They are off to the finals in Northampton on the 24th June. The Year 6 team also did fantastically well, with only four weeks to learn the new dances. We are currently waiting to find out their overall position in the competition. Well done to all the children involved and thank you to Mrs Bowers and Mrs Colucci for coaching them.
