GOVERNING BODY VACANCIES
We currently have vacancies on our Governing Body. The Governing Body role is vital in setting the school’s strategic direction and supporting the school to deliver this. The role of a governor is rewarding and comes with a commitment of attending regular meetings throughout the year for the full governing body, and an allocated committee. We welcome people who live in the local community, or from further afield. Anybody interested can contact the school office in the first instance.
Community Governor: someone with personal and professional skills, in particular relating to financial management, risk management, IT or operations management. This role is not usually a current parent.
Foundation Governor: someone who can ensure that the school upholds and develops its character as a Church of England school, referring directly to the school’s connection to the local church, its trust deed and vision and values. Many Foundation Governors are drawn from local Anglican churches but some may be from other denominations, demonstrating positive collaboration with other local church groups, and from the parents’ community.
