Attendance
We expect every child to attend school every day, and be punctual every day. Our Attendance Policy can be found by clicking here.
Any planned absence from school must be requested in advance and we expect such requests to be for exceptional circumstances only. Absence request forms are available from the school office and must be completed in full and returned for the attention of the Headteacher. Please note that holidays are not authorised during term time under any circumstance. For information about school attendance from the Department of Education, please click here and for information from Oxfordshire County Council, please click here. We expect routine medical appointments, including dental, to be taken outside of the school day.
Illness
If you decide your child is too ill to attend school please report this on Parentmail by 8.40am. If a child is not at school, and their absence has not been reported on Parentmail, the school office will contact you by 9.15am asking you to confirm where your child is.
As a guide, the NHS has information around 'Is my child too ill for school?'. Click here for more information. If your child becomes ill at school we will contact you to arrange collection.
For any sickness or diarrhoea, we request children are kept off school for 48 hours from the last symptom. This is based on advice from NHS, as found by clicking here.
