Year 2 have been having fun writing this week about Polar Bears. They dressed up so they could keep warm in the Arctic and wrote wonderful reports.
North Hinksey celebrated its first North Hinksey Inspired event. Thank you to all the parents who volunteered. It was brilliant! Children held hearts, saw their cheek cells, found out about space, tested a 3D scanner, saw parts of a Formula One car and much more. It was wonderful to see children take risks and try things they might not have done and ask such great questions to all the adults.
On 23rd November, Korky Paul came in. He drew many pictures with very funny names. Children liked it when he changed characters from his books. He told many funny stories to each class, that he then illustrated. Lots of people thought he was very funny. ‘He did good drawings’ Dylan Y1, ‘He was very funny’ Annabel Y1. We found out that his favourite character is Winnie the Witch. Harry Y5
Our highlights were:
Lenny- Looking at the Lego airport because it was really long and made of thousands of bricks.
Lotta- The hospital Lego because it had a computer.
Sammie- Everything because it was so cool!
Ellie- I liked the dressing up because it was fun and finding the dolls.
Ikal- We played 'I spy' and 'roll it' around the gallery on the highest level.
Romelo- I liked the Lego pyramid with the tomb!
